International: work begins on a new waste treatment plant in Poland

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The international development project that Ciclat Trasporti Ambiente is pursuing alongside Consorzio Ciclat continues to consolidate. A significant step in this direction took place last May in Poland: “On Friday, May 12, in Warsaw, we signed the preliminary purchase agreement for a plot of land,” explains CEO Cesare Bagnari. “Here, we will build a mechanical and biological treatment plant for non-hazardous urban and industrial waste.”

Representatives from Consorzio Ciclat, Ciclat Trasporti Ambiente, L’Operosa, and Roma Costruzioni were present at the signing. This is because a new company will be formed to build the plant in Poland, owned 60% by C.I.S. Ciclat International Service (50% Consorzio Ciclat and 50% Ciclat Trasporti Ambiente), 25% by L’Operosa, and 15% by Roma Costruzioni. In addition to the construction of the main plant, the project also includes the creation of a landfill and accessory systems for leachate treatment and biogas recovery.

“We worked on the project for about six months, and the analysis, reconnaissance, and technical feasibility process yielded very positive results,” adds Bagnari. “In particular, we found strong political support in the region, and the market analysis was more than favorable.”

Following the signing, which formalizes the agreement with the previous landowners, the focus now shifts to environmental and geological analyses to begin the permitting phase: “We expect to formalize the process by the end of 2023, complete it in 2024, and carry out the works on-site by the first half of 2025,” clarifies the CEO.
