Industry 4.0 Plan: all projects launched or being launched

The technological investments envisaged by the Industry 4.0 Plan aim to make work more efficient, more ecological and economical. In particular, with regard to Ciclat Trasporti Ambiente, to date there are two “appraised” projects or under appraisal that fall within the Plan.

Ferdinando Di Giovanni, Head of Purchasing Department at Ciclat Trasporti Ambiente, presents them as follows:

“In the Mantua area we have installed a digital system on 28 compactors, which alerts when the compactor is full and a trip needs to be organized to empty it. Furthermore, in Sicily, we are planning the appraisal of two wheel loaders, on which a device for remote control and weighing has been installed.”

Two other projects are awaiting definition: one aims to automate waste collection vehicles, the other concerns a vehicle washing system at a new facility in Ravenna.

The Industry 4.0 Plan was created to encourage companies to equip themselves with new technologies and remote control systems, to increase safety and efficiency. Active until 2022, it provides contributions of up to 50% in the form of tax credits.
